While larger wheel diameters do reduce rolling resistance, wheel size isn’t the only factor for air-inflated tires. Contrary to common belief, rolling resistance is not affected by tire width, but rather by tire…
A wide deck allows you to ride with both legs comfortably. It makes it easier for beginners to switch legs while riding, reducing fatigue over longer distances. With parallel feet on a wider…
For normal* kick scooter riding, where you use muscle power to reach speeds around 5–10 mph (10–15 km/h), a single brake is typically more than enough to safely reduce speed or stop quickly.…
Yes, it’s possible to roll hands-free on a kick scooter, but you cannot push it without using your hands. For this, you need a stable scooter with more “trail” in the front fork…
The Boardy solves many problems that other scooters have – its light weight makes uphill riding possible and uphill pushing effortless, and the flexibility of its board is like having suspension. What a…
It is beautiful, compact, and I like the springy feel. I am pleased with my purchase. Thank you for designing and building such a neat scooter, and thanks for your good service.
I’m very glad that the Boardy is as much fun as it was advertised, and would definitely like to see your brand succeed.
My friend Judi (also from Bournemouth) got hers today, and she's just texted me to thank me for recommending it, and she's singing Boardy's praises after her first ride today.
In reality the Boardy looks even better than at the pics. I know a few good scooter with smaller wheels, but the performance from and the fun with the Boardy is outstanding. What makes the Boardy so novel and ingenious can only be understood once you have driven it.
Boardy is far superior to any kick scooter I have tried before or after. This is top of the line.
I’ve had my first Boardy for 2 years now and have done over 2000 miles (nearly 3500k) on it, and apart from replacing the brake-blocks, it is still in perfect working order.
The Boardy ride is wonderful, sumptuous, uplifting. It is a combination of glide and speed. The smoothest scooter I've ever ridden. It's hard to find words to describe it properly - but when you try it. It's just WOW!!!
Just looks beautiful…. almost too nice to ride! 🙂
Here, you'll find a wealth of useful downloadable resources, including the user manual. We encourage you to read it thoroughly before your first ride!
Recently I took my upgraded Boardy on a seven day trip in Sweden. Originally I had planned a much longer trip but due to the Corona situation I decided to make it shorter.…
Just a few weeks ago we introduced to our readers the Boardy, a foldable board-scooter developed in Hungary. Since then we had the opportunity to test the ‘Mercedes of all scooters’. We were…
Just as we were preparing to write an article about scooters, all by accident, we came across a Hungarian(!) manufacturer. And what a manufacturer! The tiny Hungarian company makes unique wooden scooters, or…
