Why I Ditched My Bike Rack for This Nimble Scooter – A San Diego Story

We received great photos from one of our esteemed customers and a passionate Boardy rider. He owns a previous model, purchased several years ago, which has since brought him immense joy and has been a faithful companion on numerous adventures.

We are grateful for the beautiful images, which you can also view on Sonny’s blog at www.seedothinkandfeel.com. We highly recommend the blog, for more remarkable adventures and photos.

I live in San Diego, California and am blessed with SO MANY beautiful scootering location options here. I did a LOT of research before I finally chose a Boardy as the perfect scooter for my needs. The Boardy is compact, nimble and travels well. It even fits in the trunk of my car which means I don’t have to bother with a bike rack to get it somewhere and go! The 12 inch pneumatic tires and more importantly the flexy wooden deck makes the Boardy far superior to the rough handling I experience on other smaller-polyurethane-wheeled scooters. The Boardy is smooth, quiet and fast.

I scootered over 32 miles around a beautiful San Diego bay and the Boardy was the perfect “Goldilocks” scooter to ride. Not too big, not too small, but smooth and just right over a variety of surfaces. (Here’s the post about this adventure.)

We often use the Boardy to go geocaching. If you’d like, you can check out PodCacher, a podcast my wife and I produce about geocaching.

We are excited to share this gallery, capturing another memorable adventure (see source and story):
