I believe many manufacturers overlook the benefits to senior citizens, particularly those who are recovering from hip surgery.
The portability for me, is very important. I can park my car just outside the city, and just scoot in. No parking issues, or costs involved either!
The light weight is also a bonus. Seniors who find lifting bikes up stairs and loading into cars, would have no problem with a Boardy.
My partner actively promotes my increased mobility, and often discusses scooting to those in my position. Lower back mobility is very important and helps with overall fitness. My physiotherapist is very impressed with my recovery and increased mood.
Mental health can be an issue when one retires, lack of social contact and sense of purpose can be addressed, just by scooting to the local park. I find myself constantly talking to strangers about the benefits of scooting. In fact, a few of my neighbours are going to take up scooting. I lend my stable out on a regular basis, much to the local kids amusement!
Even gentle scooting on a Boardy is at least twice as quick as walking.
I wish Boardy the very best for the future. I sincerely thank you for such an excellent product.

I promised to write about the scooter. Yesterday, I had the chance to take it on a longer tour. I rode 39 km. I went from Martonvásár through Nadap, Sukoró, and Kápolnásnyék to Velence. I mention this just to show that it was a hilly route (according to my watch, 392 meters of elevation).
The Boardy performed very well, and its comfort was especially noticeable on rougher sections. Instead of rattling, I cruised through these stretches of road with a smooth, flowing glide. At first, I found the foam grips a bit unusual, but I got used to them in just a few minutes and — especially on bumpy or downhill sections — they actually felt great when gripping more firmly.
I only switch to walking on inclines if scooting would be slower. On this route, I only had to get off once (on the 10% climb in Nadap). I wasn’t faster than with other scooters, but of course, that’s not the scooter’s fault 😁.
On a downhill, I even reached speeds over 40 km/h (don’t worry, I promise that won’t happen often!), and I noticed a slight vibration in the scooter’s body at that speed.
All in all, I give the Boardy five out of five stars.

I went on a longer ride in the city today and had the chance to try it on different types of surfaces. Finally a scooter that doesn’t make me hop off every time I hit cobblestones, curbs or loose gravel. It rolls beautifully and feels solid. No rattling, no clattering, no awkward noises. In short, everything went just the way I hoped it would. I also noticed it definitely catches people’s attention :)
Thanks again for your great attitude and support. Wishing you lots of success in the future.
Best regards,
A happy customer

The Boardy solves many problems that other scooters have – its light weight makes uphill riding possible and uphill pushing effortless, and the flexibility of its board is like having suspension. What a great ride!

I received my scooter today. The scooter arrived in perfect condition. It is beautiful, compact, and I like the spin. Here is a picture I took along a trail in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
It is beautiful, compact, and I like the springy feel. It was easy to assemble. I took it on a short ride today. I am pleased with my purchase. Thank you for designing and building such a neat scooter, and thanks for your good service.

I’m very glad that the Boardy is as much fun as it was advertised, and would definitely like to see your brand succeed.
If fun, comfort, and the ultimate kick-scooting experience are what you are looking for, then Boardy is the way to go!

It’s comforting to know you guys care about your customers and your products.
(…) Then the Boardy scooter came along, and I jumped on the bandwagon. I have enjoyed the Boardy scooter for over two weeks and over 200 miles. It requires very little effort to kick-scoot this Boardy. I live in a second-floor walkup apartment, and I regularly carry it with one hand up and down the stairs. It’s so lightweight (about 6 kg or 13 lbs) and compact! When shopping, I simply fold down the stem and wheel it on its tail alongside me. At the time of writing, the Boardy is the only 12-inch wheeled scooter available with a hand brake at such lightweight and compactness. I’d say the Boardy is relatively effortless to kick and very efficient.

My friend Judi (also from Bournemouth) got hers today, and she's just texted me to thank me for recommending it, and she's singing Boardy's praises after her first ride today. I have another friend who is also on the verge of ordering one so we will be well represented in Bournemouth!! I can't find more words to describe what a lovely ride this scooter is!
Sue and I did a lovely ride on our Boardys today. Train from Bournemouth to Weymouth (40 miles west along the south coast), then rode along the Rodwell Cycle Trail which took us from Weymouth all around Portland Harbour and onto Portland itself. Then back along the trail which is a disused railway track so is flat, and has tarmac surface. Than all along Weymouth sea-front, then back home on the train. We clocked up 29k in total - not bad for a couple of wrinklies!! I've attached a pic of the Trail with both Boardys, feel free to post if you want to.

Best kick scooter of all I tried
First of all: In reality the Boardy looks even better than at the pics. But that’s not most important. I know a few good scooter with smaller wheels (Swifty, Yedoo, Miboo) but the performance from and the fun with the Boardy is outstanding. What makes the Boardy so novel and ingenious can only be understood once you have driven it.
But some facts: Driving is effortless (esp. uphill) because of the light weight and the low board while the clearance is great because of the thin board and the shorter wheelbase.
Jumps over curbs are pure fun because of the beautifully soft landing. Cobblestones takes the Boardy without any problems and shaking for the user.
In short: The Boardy is the perfect kick scooter for cities. (I bought it to go faster to and from the subway stations. In the meantime, I no longer take the subway and drive the entirely route with the Boardy.)

Boardy is far superior to any kick scooter I have tried before or after. This is top of the line.
Before I discovered Boardy I had tried a few kick scooters but I must confess that Boardy is far superior to any kick scooter I have tried before or after. This is top of the line if you ask me and it suits my purpose excellent. It is small and I can fold it and bring it on a bus, a train or in my car easily. I know there are some really good and bigger and faster kick scooters that are used in competing, for example.
However, I am not interested in neither competing nor going particularly fast. And it is so light too! One thing that make Boardy stand out from other kick scooters is of course the soft and flexible board itself. I come very close to the ground which is important to me since I feel that too much pressure are put on my hips otherwise.

I’ve had my first Boardy for 2 years now and have done over 2000 miles (nearly 3500k) on it, and apart from replacing the brake-blocks, it is still in perfect working order.
Well done and thank you again for such a great product.
The Boardy ride is wonderful, sumptuous, uplifting. It is a combination of glide and speed. The deck is so sensitive that you feel like you're skiing but still the smoothest scooter I've ever ridden. It's hard to find words to describe it properly - but when you try it. It's just WOW!!!

Just looks beautiful…. almost too nice to ride! :)
